JOHOE Policy

Editorial policy

JOHOE considers the criteria of originality, high academic quality and the real interest of a wide international audience for articles. The journal's editorial team encourages authors to increase the likelihood of acceptance of their articles by providing original and up-to-date articles on big population and international level. Researchers studying a particular oral problem should discuss the impact of the results on the level of dental hygiene in the community more broadly.

JOHOE supports free access to information. Abstracts and full texts of articles in PDF format are available to everyone immediately after publication. Users are free to copy and distribute JOHOE published articles in any media or format under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons license.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Peer Review Policy

The editorial board considers all medical research studies based on ICMJE recommendations about the conduction, reporting, and editing of these investigations. The acceptance criteria for all papers are the quality and originality of the research and its significance to our readership. Except for invited papers, submitted manuscripts are peer-reviewed via a double-blinded process by three anonymous reviewers and the journal’s editorial board. Final acceptance or rejection is depending on the editorial board decision on peer-reviewed papers.

Policy on Conflict of Interest, Human and Animal Rights, and Informed Consent for Publications

  • In the issue of conflict of interest, Vesnu Publications follows the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors Guidelines. Authors of research articles should disclose at the time of submission any financial arrangement they may have with a company whose product is pertinent to the submitted manuscript or with a company making a competing product. Such information will be held in confidence while the paper is under review and will not influence the editorial decision, but if the article is accepted for publication, a disclosure will appear with the article.
  • Researches that involves human beings or animals must adhere to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki.
  • The authors should state that all human participants provided written informed consent. Vesnu Publications follows the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors Guidelines.
