Journal of Oral Health and Oral Epidemiology (JOHOE) is open access and peer-reviewed journal, which serves as an international and interdisciplinary setting for the dissemination of Oral Health and Oral Epidemiology research. Starting with Volume 25 in 2025, Journal of Oral Health and Oral Epidemiology will adopt an continuous publication schedule.
JOHOE is intended to enhance communication among Public Health Dentistry researchers, Dentists, and other types of allied health professionals in the research and Oral healthcare delivery systems. Geographical coverage including coverage of the poorest countries and low- and middle- income countries is a priority at the JOHOE. All submissions to the JOHOE undergo a fair, supportive, and double-blind peer-review process.

From January 1, 2025, manuscripts accepted for publication in Journal of Oral Health and Oral Epidemiology will undergo language editing before processing. The cost of translation and English editing by a company approved by the journal will be the responsibility of the Iranian authors. The cost of language editing for international authors will be covered by the journal.
Call for Papers: Special Issue on Epidemiology of Oral and Maxillofacial Diseases with Emphasis on Prevalence and Incidence in Iran
We are pleased to announce a forthcoming special issue of the Journal of Oral Health and Oral Epidemiology dedicated to the epidemiology of oral, dental, and maxillofacial diseases, focusing on the prevalence and incidence of these conditions in Iran.
This special issue aims to compile high-quality original research articles, and epidemiological studies that provide new insights into the burden of oral and maxillofacial diseases across different populations and regions of Iran. We welcome manuscripts that explore various aspects of disease patterns, risk factors, public health implications, and strategies for prevention and management.
We kindly invite all researchers and authors who have work in progress or manuscripts relevant to this theme to submit their articles for consideration. The deadline for submission is the end of Khordad 1403 (June 21, 2025).
